In writing, we are writing about Small Moments. Small moments are stories about small parts of life. They are about one little thing that has happened to you!
In theme, we are working on making a Farm Stand. We are learning that farms have lots of products that they grow and make. We will help you learn all about farming at our breakfast. When we visited the farm, we made pizza and cheese to go on it, and then we ate it!
In reading, we are learning how to read new books on our level. We are learning about new strategies to help us figure out words we don't know. We are learning to partner read. We are tapping out words to help us solve tricky words.
The second graders have already started their second math unit and first graders will begin their second unit Monday!
