Sing Along for Friday Fun!

This morning we had an all-school sing along with Buddy. We sang "This Land is Your Land", "Dip, Dip, and Swing", "The Donut Shop", "Three Little Birds", "Johnny B. Goode", "I'm Not Scared", and "Thanks A Lot". What a great way to start the day!

The first and second graders from both classroom will be voting on a book character for president in Library! They generated a list of qualities that they believe a president should have. What a kind and thoughtful list!

Here is what they came up with:
Kind

Nice to the person who loses
Respectful of other people
Polite
Not yelling at people
Know what to do in every situation
Be kind to other governments
Be kind to people who are different

Make good rules
Don’t brag
Be kind to people who work for the government
Don’t tease people
Don’t make people their servants
Be Happy
Don’t boss people around
Don’t steal
Think
Think about it before you do it
Be nice to people who make mistakes
First talk to people when they make a mistake
Keep us healthy
Keep things that are important

Loyal
Don’t disagree to good things
Take care of other people’s things

Vermont Sampler

Thank you SO much for coming to our Vermont Sampler last Friday! We learned a lot about farming in Vermont AND had fun doing it!

Lunch Rules

One of our first grade students created posters on the expectations and rules of the lunch room. He presented them with enthusiasm to the whole school. Way to go!
