Winter Weather

Image result for winter clipart
Now that winter weather has made an appearance, we are asking that kids bring boots, hats, gloves, etc for recess. Please label your child's clothing so we know what belongs to who! We have also found that keeping an extra pair of socks in your child's backpack is also extra helpful for wet feet! Thank you for helping us with this!

Shelburne Farms Field Trip!

We had a TERRIFIC field trip to Shelburne Farms! The weather held out for us as we explored the farms and everything it has to offer! The students broke up into four groups to make a communal pizza. One group gathered the toppings from the garden, another group made the sauce (including chopping onions with many tears!), the third group made the dough (gluten free too!), and the last group MADE the cheese! Each group assembled their own pizza, they were cooked together, and then we enjoyed them as a community. In addition to making pizza we explored the gardens, pet the animals, and read a story! It was an amazing trip learning first hand what goes into the farming community!

New Blog!

Hello first and second grade families!  After living through the first month of school, we decided that it would make more sense to have a joint blog since we share the kids throughout the day.  We also noticed we were blogging about the exact same things! We hope you enjoy our school adventures and make sure you sign up to receive email notification for this new blog!
